Richard
started racing in 2006 after many years of being a mechanic
for other race teams following racing for example Legends
Cars, Ascar, Pickups and Brisca f2's around the country,
after many years of working for other teams with his dad
he decided to take their knowledge to the tracks.
In
2006 Richard started racing in the Snr Rotax Max 125 class
of karting at a local circuit, where he has gradually developed
more experience to help him get involved with MSA Karting.
After
several years of looking after Legends Cars for other people
it has been Richards ambition to race them for him self.
Rapid
Motorsport was started in July 2006. After many years of
working for other teams Richard & Simon Pocklington
decided its time to use all there experience and create
there own team.

In
2006 it was decided Richard & Simon would use there
knowledge and start up for them selves, although they had
spent many years working for other teams and enjoyed working
for them.
Richard had always wanted to race himself so they decided
to buy a kart and start racing locally at Woodthorpe Kart
Club then maybe go in to a British Championship or travel
around the UK racing.
