Double win for Brace in Legends' trip to Mallory

"....Another battle in full swing was that for the title of best rookie between James Holman and nearest challenger Richard Pocklington....

....It was Pocklington who made the best start to the weekend finishing in eighth place and earning fastest lap in the first race just one position ahead of James. As race two got underway so did their battle, with Richard once again finishing ahead of James.... "

Richard Pocklington tackles National Legends Cars Championship "FOLLOWING a 12 month break from motor racing Louth based Richard Pocklington returned to the track in the number 16 Rapid Motorsport Legends car.

Richard is contesting the 2011 National Legends Cars Championship over 15 rounds, the first two rounds at Brands Hatch were run on the world famous Indy Circuit.

A cautious drive in the round one final gave Richard fifth place and third place overall on the dayp.

In round two heat two he finished in sixth place. In the round three final he was looking at a top five finish when disaster struck. Richard was exiting Druids when he had a coming together with number 32 Morton, sadly both cars ended up in the tyre wall.

Pocklington returns to the track for battle with the legends

 

"LOUTH'S Richard Pocklington returned to the track after a 12-month break – to contest the first two rounds of the 2011 National Legends Cars Championship.

 

Racing in the number 16 Rapid Motorsport Legends car, Pocklington didn't take long to get back into the swing of it, topping the timing sheets by 0.002 seconds from the 2010 championship runner up Stephen Treherne in the round one warm-up....."
