Richard started racing in 2006 after many years of being a mechanic for other race teams, following racing like Legends, Ascar, Pickups and Brisca F2s around the country.

After many years of working for other teams with his Dad, he decided to take their knowledge to the tracks.

Richard started racing in the Snr Rotax Max 125 class of karting at a local circuit, where he gradually developed invaluable experience which helped him get involved with MSA karting.

A decision to race in the UK Legends series was made and his first season was in 2008.
